Sliding Door Pool Access

The Fencing of Swimming Pools Act 1987 requires that doors and gates with access into pool areas must be self closing and self latching. Swish Sliding Door Closers and Safety Latches can be installed into most commercial and residential door profiles.

A: Swish Sliding Door closers can be concealed horizontally in the top door rail as standard in modern architectural joinery profiles.
Where vertical mounting of the closer is necessary, it is concealed in a duct which is added to the door rear frame, accessible for adjustment and servicing.

September 2011 will see the introduction of the Swish "SoftClose" sliding door closer... This enhancement to the existing "SelfClose" system is the result of a three year Swish development program to enhance this unique product range...

B: Swish Safety Latches are operable from both sides of the door, at or above 1500mm from floor level to comply with all regulations.

Stainless steel componentry is used for durability and aesthetics, with moving parts totally concealed for safety and appearance.

Swish Sliding Door Closers and Safety Latches also meet the requirements of NZ Standard
NZS 8500-2006 clause 2.3.2 and 3.7 and 4.6 which require "child resistant door-sets into pool areas" to prevent unsupervised child access to the home pool
